*  Do worry about what rug to leave on your horse each day?
*  Are you anxious about your rugged horse when a cool or cold
    morning turns warm and sunny?
*  Don't want your horse getting hot and sweaty under its rugs?
*  Having trouble with rain scald caused by your horse sweating
    and overheating in its rugs?

                                Then worry no more!

Now your horse can easily and effectively regulate its own body temperature - preventing over heating and chills caused by fluctuating weather conditions - in the worlds first 'climate control' horse rug, a Cool Heat rug.

The Cool Heat rug acts like a portable stable, shielding your horse from direct rain or wind chill, while under the blanket the horse controls it's own safe comfortable inner core body temperature by the act of pilo erection - raising and lowering its hair to trap a layer of insulating air around its body, under its rug.

The Cool Heat rug has rows of soft plastic insulators which run the length of the rug, which lift the strong ripstop fabric 12mm or 1/2" up off the horses hair.  This prevents the flattening of the horse's hair and so protects one of your horse's natural warming and cooling procedures -"pilo erection". Pilo erection is a vital part of your horse's natural thermal regulation process and traditional rugs, no matter what material they are constructed of, flatten the horses hair - seriously impeding pilo erection.

With a Cool Heat rug on, when your horse feels cold it simply raises its hair follicles (using the pilo erection process) and traps an insulating layer of body heat against the skin, slowing down the dissipation rate of heat loss from the body. W
hen the horse is rugged and if the day unexpectantly warms up, as the horse starts to sweat, its lays its hair down, allowing air to flow through and across its coat which cools the horse. Sweat is then wicked up off the body and removed by the process of evaporation as cooler air flows under the rug and over the coat. With traditional rugs the sweat is trapped against the skin creating an unhealthy humid enviroment which again overheats the horse and causes skin conditions such as Rain Scald.

So Get Your Horse into a Cool Heat rug today.
You'll have a happier and healthier horse and less to worry about!
