The PeeWee bit is con structed with stainless steel rings and side bars and a "sweet iron" mouth bar which is INTENDED TO RUST. This light rusting effect is what creates extra saliva in your horses mouth to prevent the mouth drying out - a problem with 100% stainless steel bits.
